I could wax poetically and wistfully about the past 12 months - nay - the past decade as it were. I could project and resolve and be resolute about the next 12 months.
Hi Lynnelise, Thank you for your comment on my blog, I'm happy to 'meet' you. I really enjoyed your 'about' message and how you have an "Altered Life". That is very inspiring. I'll be back to see more of your blog soon. Meanwhile, Happy 2010! --Jane p.s. I am originally from Columbus.
That's great! I wonder why america wasn't listed on the first video? A ball dropping just wasn't that spectactular I guess. Or was it because america "dropped the ball" the last 2 years with the whole economy issues. haha. Just kidding
Hi and thanks for commenting on my blog. I am so happy to have inspired you to work in your art journal, would love to see pictures when you have some ready to show off.
I'm late getting to it, but I wanted to stop by and wish you a happy, happy new year, my friend. May God fill each day with an awareness of small joys. May He give you fresh eyes to see His hand in events beyond your control. May you feel blessed each day. Happy new year!
Hope my blog inspires you. If for some reason you prefer not to have music playing, feel free to scroll to the "playlist" below to turn it off. I enjoy setting up this blog and hope it adds joy to your day! Lord Bless You!! <><
Why an Altered Life?
There are 2 reasons I've entitled my blog "An Altered Life".
First, I've rediscovered my passion for creating art. I was introduced to the wonderful world of scrapbooking and began to venture out to collage art, particularily "altered books". Altered books is an art in which you take an unwanted hardback book that was destined to go to the trash heap, and turn it into a beautiful work of art by painted, collaging, or cutting the pages. What's old is made new again. I would like this blog to chart my adventure and growth as an artist.
Secondly, and MOST important, I wish to share and celebrate my relationship with Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. I've known and grown with the Lord for nearly 15 years now, and he has taken my life, which was broken and soiled, full of sin and wrong choices, and has renewed my life in Him. My life has been totally altered and not unlike the discarded book, it has been made and fashioned into something beautiful, in Him. My life as I follow Christ, is one of growth, worship and thankfulness - a great adventure like none other. Join me in my journey of growth and discovery.
